Tin ore separation process

Tin ore separation process   The density of tin ore is bigger than paragenetic mineral , so we use gravity concentration to processing tin ore . Because there are many oxide iron ore inside , for example : magnetite , hematite , if use gravity concentration or flotation , that could not separate them from tin , so magnetic will be added .   Introduction [Application] All kinds of tin minerals ,  teallite,franckeite, cylindrite , canfieldite ,Black boron tin , Malaya Garnet , varlamoffite , schoenfliesite and so on .   [Process Description]   Crushing  and  Screening Crush the raw ore to 20mm, then screen it  to two grade, (20mm~4mm) and (4mm~0mm). Preselecting Put the 20~4mm ore into heavy medium cyclone to be selected. Then the ore will enter into the rod mill. After that, it will be preselected in jig. The tailings over 2mm will be abandoned, the 2mm ore will be put into shaking table. Bulk  Flotation The concentration from jig and shaking board  will be separately selected by bulk flotation. The tailings will enter the  shaking board to get qualified tin concentrates.   Separating  Flotation After the bulk flotation, the concentrate  will be fine grinded, then will be do the flotation separation of lead zinc ore.  After that Lead antimony concentrates and zinc concentrates will be  produced.   Gravity  Separation The pulp enter into Φ300mm hydrocyclone, then overflow to Φ125mm and Φ75mm  hydrocyclone group to  remove the fine mud. Nickel Ore processing

The chemical beneficiation is used in  brine process plant. At present, the main lithium minerals exploited are lepidolite, spodumene, montebrasite, petalite, salt lake brine, etc. The main beneficiation method of lepidolite is flotation and the main beneficiation method of petalite is heavy medium separation. The flotation is mainly  adopted in most spodumene ore. When the specific gravity is greater, it can use heavy medium separation or gravity separation. The  phosphate-lithium garnet ore usually adopts flotation. When lepidolite and spodumene have high grade of the symbiotic tantalum and  niobium, gravity separation or strong magnetic separation can be used for recover. This method is mainly used to separate lepidolite, spodumene and etc., and is the most important beneficiation method. The desliming is  necessary for the two kinds of minerals before flotation and after desliming, the lepidolite often adopts the positive flotation to obtain the  concentrate. The flotation process generally includes one rougher flotation, one scavenging and two cleaner flotation. The spodumene  flotation has the positive flotation and the reverse flotation. The positive flotation is to remove the argillaceous flotation on the surface of  spodumene by adding reagent and strong agitation, and the flotation foam is the spodumene concentrate. While the reverse flotation is  to select quartz and muddy in the ore with the reagent adding and strong agitation and the flotation tailing is the spodumene concentrate. The spodumene flotation process usually includes one rougher flotation, two scavenging and three cleaner flotation. The milling  fineness of spodumene is generally 0.074mm with the content of 60%-80%. The flotation recovery rate of spodumene is generally  65%-85%. The petalite is hard to separate by flotation. The specific gravity of petalite is 2.65-2.8 and that of spodumene is 3.05-3.2, therefore the  normal gravity separation is not good for separating these two minerals, while the heavy medium separation can separate petalite from  spodumene. The petalite is the light mineral and overflowed from the cyclone, meanwhile the spodumene, as the heavy mineral, is  enriched in the cyclone sedimentation. The feeding particle size of heavy medium separation is 0.5-8mm. The hand separation, mainly used for spodumene and lepidolite with coarse crystal, is adopted to pick out spodumene and lepidolite ore  based on the difference between the color or shape of the mineral itself and gangue mineral. It’s the main beneficiation method before  1940. Related Cases

Scheelite flotation process   Scheelite dressing can use gravity, magnetic and flotation separation. The types and properties of the ore decide the separation methods and processes. Basing on good floatability of scheelite, the flotation is selected.   Introduction Scheelite flotation product line is suitable for the scheelite containing multi metals with complex structure. Separation of scheelite and calcspar & fluorite Concentration pulp with high temperature is common method. First,  the pulp is concentrated to 60%-70%; the next, sodium silicate is added into pulp; then, the pulp is heated to 80℃ and stirred for 30-60min; the last, it is diluted with water. The floatation of scheelite is under the room temperature, and the product in tank is calcspar & fluorite. The separation of scheelite and barite It is difficult to separate scheelite and barite by sodium silicate because of the closed inhibitory action for scheelite and barite. We choose alkyl sulfate as collector to repeatly select barite under the 1.5-3PH, and the product in tank is scheelite. The separation of scheelite and sulfide Xanthate is used to capture sulfide minerals in scheelite floatation. We add a little oxide and sodium sulfide to inhibit sulfide without floatation. The separation of scheelite and Quartz silicate Oleic acid as collector and sodium silicate as inhibitors, which could inhibit the quartz and silicate gangue and float scheelite.
